Rice County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications is a consolidated 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) serving all of Rice County. Rice County is located in central Kansas and spans 779 square miles and has a population of 10,083 residents. There are six emergency communications personnel who work 8-hour shifts that are responsible for 9-1-1 and non-emergency calls from the citizens and visitors of Rice County, who dispatch law enforcement, fire, EMS, and emergency management to those calls for assistance.
