The Rice County Emergency Communications Center is looking for new team members. The communications center serves as the hub for Police, Fire, and EMS personnel as we assist the citizens of Rice County. Potential team members should be self-motivated team players who are able to make decisions and remain calm in a variety of situations and emergencies.
Responsibilities: Receive requests from the public for emergency assistance; determine the course of action and dispatch units in accordance with procedures. Conducts records checks, verify warrants, monitor weather conditions and check the working order of equipment.
Qualifications: All candidates must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED. Prospective employees must successfully complete a criminal history check, drug screen, and work fit examination. Starting salary $13.20 per hour plus shift differential and benefits.
